Favorgen's 50bp DNA Ladder consists of 10 liner double stranded DNA bands of 50, 100, 150, 200, 250, 300, 350, 400, 450, and 500 base pairs. This 50 DNA ladder is specially prepared for visualizing of the DNA fragments on the gel. The intensity of 300 bp band has been increased to yield reference indicator. |

| Usage Note |
| |
★ Shelf Life: One year from the date of receipt under proper storage condition.
★ 2.5 - 5μl, > 2% agarose gel. 3:1 agarose gel is preferable for better resolution. |

| Recommendations For Use |
| |
1. Vortex gently just prior to use
2. Do not heat before loading
3. Apply 0.1μg (1μl) of DNA Ladder per 1mm of agarose gel lane width.
4. Following electrophoretic separation on gel,visualize the DNA bands by ethidium bromide. |

| Quality Control |
| |
1.Agarose gel analysis shows that the bands between 50bp and 500bp are distinguishable. All bands must form a gradient.
2. Incubation of 5μl of the 50 DNA ladder in restriction enzyme buffer overnight at 37℃ shows absence of visible degradation. |

| Note |
| |
The result of 0.5μg on 3.5% TAE agarose gel gets the band the brightest, but wildest. Under this condition, it is hard to recognize DNA position. |
